Support Group

GI Caregivers

Led by:
Ruth Kenemuth, LCSW

Being diagnosed with a GI cancer confronts patients and caregivers with multiple challenges. This group aims to provide a space for caregivers to ask questions, receive tips and advice from others, and share their own individual challenges and experiences.

This group is open to caregivers of patients with cancers of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, gallbladder, pancreas, appendix, colon, rectum, anus, liver, biliary tract, and peritoneum. (Please note that a Pancreatic Support Group is held the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., open to patients and caregivers.)

Topics of interest will include: practical coping, effective ways to help, managing guilt, anger, and sadness, as well as any other topic that is brought to the group.

No registration necessary; just drop in!
