GI Cancer Patient Support Group

Led by:
Ruth Kenemuth, LCSW

Being diagnosed with a GI cancer confronts patients with multiple challenges. To fill the void for those who seek answers and to provide individualized support, a monthly meeting has been developed to assist patients in dealing with the emotional aspects of having a GI cancer diagnosis. Topics of interest will include symptom management, coping, nutrition, clinical trials, and more.

This group is open to patients with cancers of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, gallbladder, pancreas, appendix, colon, rectum, anus, liver, biliary tract, and peritoneum. (Please note there is also a Pancreatic Support Group held the second Wednesday of every month from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., open to patients and caregivers.)

No registration necessary. Just drop in!

2014 Dates: Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 19, and Dec. 17
