New Stanford Health Care Name Announced
Name change reflects range and scope of health system's offerings
Stanford, Calif.,— Stanford Hospital & Clinics today announced that it is now renamed Stanford Health Care. The enterprise was renamed to better reflect the growing depth and breadth of Stanford's adult clinical care services, which include inpatient care and clinics, specialty and outpatient centers, affiliated physician practices, virtual care and patient navigation services, and health plan and accountable care offerings.
Stanford Health Care is also constructing several major new facilities in the region, including a comprehensive cancer center in San Jose, the West Coast's only integrated neurology/neurosurgery center, and the new Stanford Hospital—which will be the nation's most advanced hospital when it is completed in early 2018.
As our organization innovates and expands its leading edge and coordinated care approaches, our communications approach is evolving as well.
