Supportive Kidney Care
This program supports the care of the patient with kidney disease developed during or prior to their cancer diagnosis. Working in concert with the hematology and oncology providers, kidney doctors (nephrologists) with specific training in side effects of chemo- and immuno-therapeutics will treat and address kidney issues that can occur throughout their treatment including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and electrolyte disorders. The supportive kidney care team also helps treat and diagnose kidney diseases that can occur as a result of various blood disorders including multiple myeloma and lymphoma.
If you would like a referral, consult with your care team.
