"The LPCH Stanford Office of Professional Fulfillment and Resilience, along with Caritas Coaches and labor pool staff carefully assemble care packages of healthy snacks for the frontline team members.
For the past three weeks, they were able to deliver more than 200 care packages in 50 units/departments .
They nourished, inspired, and brought joy to more than 400 frontline staff.
Caritas Coach, Deborah Auletta, RN from the Maternity unit, integrates one the Caritas Processes on the importance of being authentically present, and how important it is to “care of oneself so we can better care for others.”
A strong message to reflect upon from Dr Jean Watson, who developed the Theory of Human Caring, resonates to each and every frontline heroes during these unprecedented times of crisis: “Maybe this one moment, with this one person, is the very reason we are here on Earth at this time.”
