Joanna Badger, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Genital Dermatology Clinic. She brings extensive training and diverse experience to the Department of Dermatology at Stanford having trained in the United Kingdom in dermatology, emergency medicine, geriatric medicine, hematology oncology, and genito-urinary medicine. I have been seeing dr. Badger for a very long time and I have great confidence in her.
After reviewing the doctor notes from my visit I noticed that there was a discrepancy between when she verbally told me when to return (1 year) and the notes indicating 6 mos. so I wrote Dr. Badger a message through "My Health" to ask her to correct the error in the notes due to wanting to avoid problems with my RX refills once 6 mos. has passed. A few days have passed, I have yet to receive a response from her. I'm not sure if she reads her messages or has just been too busy to respond?

I have been suffering from some issues for 3+ years. Dr. Badger was curt, overly-schedule oriented and didn't listen to my concerns. I was so frustrated, I started crying. Even after that, her tone was cold and her language was hurtful and dismissive. I found my follow-up phone call with her no different. She was only concerned with the immediate and brushed me off. I am in my mid-forties and have seen many doctors over many years and found Dr. Badger to be one of the worst. It's clear I will get no help from her and am now actively seeking other caretakers.

Provider did not seem interested in, nor had time for, my information about my condition or any of my questions (and I only had two questions). Perhaps more time is needed for appointments? Further, I was told that my question was due to me being anxious, which wasn't fair. Mental health status should never be used against a patient or to make a patient feel any lesser.

After I left my office visit, my incision kept bleeding. I was nervous about returning to the office. The receptionist, notified the resident and medical student, whom took me back into the treatment room. After reassessing the biopsy site, they applied a pressure bandage, and the bleeding stopped. I was amazed and grateful the professional care by everyone in the office.

I always feel confident & comfortable at Stanford.
