I've been seeing her for over 10 years! she has supported me through 2 c sections, the last of which had complications. she also came in for my first emergency c section on a sunday evening. she is direct and to the point which I appreciate because you don't have to guess around and I wholeheartedly trust her opinion. she is peppy and moves quickly which is again appreciated when it comes to certain procedures! she gently held me and tried to calm my nerves while getting a spinal. she doesn't bs and has taken great care of me and the 2 littles brought into this world! couldn't ask for anything better than healthy babies and getting through 2 c's!

I have gained some LBS. since my last annual visit (but not since my visit in Jan 2018). I happen to make on the office form I have gained 10 LBS since my last annual (I weigh this same weight back in Jan 2018 however). I have gained weight because I have struggled with an eating disorder for about a decade and am finally doing better and feeling okay with eating regularly and how I look. I have not exercised a bunch this last year, as to not trigger anything. I explained to my doctor about my eating disorder and why I have gained some weight and that I plan to start exercising again soon. My doctor clearly did not listen or have concern for what I had just started to her, and she decided to give me a BMI chart, as a means to showing me that I am in an overweight category now. I was shocked and applauded with her lack of understanding eating disorder triggers, and talking to her client about what may be the best approach of why I gained wait. It was very upsetting and concerning that she showed me that, told me about some diets, and just moved on, without any thought to how that could put a young woman with an eating disorder in a downward spiral. And then she just moved on and proceeded with the examine. I was VERY angered and disappointed by this visit.

I think Dr. Borrison is great and always shows great concern for my health. I was however somewhat upset that she seemed to brush off my valid concerns about using Varifem (estrodiol). I discussed with her my fear of the increased risk if developing cancer by using estogen and she point blank said there was none. But in reading the package insert there indeed IS a risk of cancer with the use of estrogen. I don't know if she took my family history of breast cancer or my hypothyroidism or migraines into consideration before prescribing this med - we didn't discuss it at all.

After an unreasonable long wait time, she spends at most 5-15 mins with me for the routine checkup, which is fine. My biggest issue is the lack of explanations or concerns regarding my questions. When asked questions regarding pain management/labor signs, etc, the only answer I get is if I had taken the prenatal courses. I'm sure she has lots of experience in OB but beside manner needs to improve & I'd appreciate some explanations or assurances as a first time mom with my questions/concerns. I always feel rushed during the apts and I've gotten to the point where I don't want to bother asking questions because they don't really get addressed.
