Biography


Dr. Neil Gesundheit is a board-certified endocrinologist who trained at Stanford and UCSF in internal medicine and at the National Institutes of Health (NIDDK) in endocrinology and metabolism. He sees hospitalized endocrine patients at Stanford and at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospitals. Dr. Gesundheit directs the second-year medical student endocrine physiology module, teaches in the Practice of Medicine course, and as the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education oversees implementation of the new Discovery Curriculum for medical student education. Dr. Gesundheit has oversight of educational programs for medical students, physician assistant master's students, residents and fellows in clinical training, and Stanford-sponsored continuing medical education (CME) programs for faculty.
