The doctor Charlene Hu, did not read the not read the notes that the nurse wrote in my file. She started asking me questions and my husband and i started answering her questions thinking that she had already read the notes. This caused a misunderstanding because i have my condition for the past 10 years and she thought that i have only my carpotunnel for 4 months. I asked her what i need to do to improve my numbness on my hand she responded in a condescending way "I don't do magic." I wasted my time and money because she ended up referring me to an orthopedist. She had poor English as well.

Dr Hu is a busy doctor. During this visit she seemed a bit distracted which is not normal for her, or perhaps just ready to go. The visit did not last more than 5 minutes and I do not think Dr. Hu re familiarized herself with my file and background before joining the call. I got the impression she had forgotten how many headaches I was getting each month since I got the impression she thought the 5 I had one month and two the other were a lot. They are a fraction of what I used to get.
She is a thorough doctor in that she listens to what my needs are and prescribes what is needed.

Dr. Hu is hard to understand and does just a fair job on trying to understand your condition. Her explanation of how the tests would go was completely lacking. She did finish the EMG test that was needed to be done. She was reluctant to even share what she thought might be the issue. I drove 4 hours one way to have her tell us she couldn't help me, she just referred me to another doctor that is two months out. I still don't have a diagnosis and my symptoms are getting progressively worse. I can't recommend Dr. Hu at all.

Dr. Hu spent time with me and my husband, explaining what the MRI showed and explaining the next recommended steps for treatment. She answered our questions and was patient with me when I asked them. Very happy with Dr. Hu!!

I was EXTREMELY nervous for this appointment due to previous doctors dismissing my symptoms for 15 years. Dr. Hu listened to not only me, but, also my husband and daughter. She involved them in my appointment, as they were very concerned about my neurological issues. She asked them if there was anything I may have forgotten or anything they wanted to ask about my diagnosis, the medication I now needed to take or the tests that were ordered. At times it was a little difficult to understand Dr. Hu due to her accent but we NEVER felt uncomfortable. My family and I are extremely grateful for Dr. Hu and don't care to go looking for another neurologist!!

She seemed ok but as far as her laying out a range of possibilities for me, that aspect of communication was weak. But with doctors, that characteristic is sadly normal. It is as if you can sit there in front of someone who wears a white coat and you get a few questions, a few nods, then not much more unless YOU the patient provoke further discussion on the possibilities ... this is tough, because how do we know what we dont know ?

I felt Dr Hu was dismissive and had determined what was wrong prior to seeing me. She came across as condescending about a prior issue. I found the overall experience unpleasant. I have been seeing doctors in that office for over 20 years and that was by far the worst experience I have had.
