Dr. Hannah and his team were wonderful. They were clear about treatments we could try to relieve my Mom’s discomfort. They listened, advised and we felt that they heard our concerns. They were also clear about what they were going to look into for us and when we could expect to hear back from
them. I credit Dr. Hannah for noticing that we were going to come from three hours away and his staff called and asked if we preferred a video call. The trip would have been very hard on Mom so we appreciated the video call immensely. We have a brother with a chronic illness so we are pretty savvy about navigating the healthcare system but this has been very different. We have had a difficult time finding a balance between continuing to seek invasive treatment and finding relief for Mom’s symptoms and continuing decline. The call with Dr. Hannah and his colleagues helped us clarify what to do and what we won’t do. Dr. Sugiyama has also been instrumental in giving us valuable information.
