Dr Kamal is as frustrated as I am as far as my diagnostics are going. She is a very thorough and personable person. I've become frustrated and tired of procedures and tests. I think I will just have to live with the problem for now. I do have a plan to implement that may help. we'll see.

I feel that there needs to be more follow up/communication after tests or procedures are done. I usually I have to be the one calling to make an appointment with Dr. Kamal to follow up on tests results.

I also appreciated the way she offered me the opportunity to select the two options for the "next step" in my treatment. She also gave me the option to participate in a study related to achalasia. She made it very clear that the decision was totally up to me. After asking my questions, I felt interested in the project and accepted. I also enjoyed the video conference which allowed for face-to-face conversation and my injection of some humor. And her associate, Sud, was personable and explained the information he would be sending me via email.
