Biography
A native of the south Bay Area, Dr. Lewis brings 25 years of professional experience in the field of otolaryngology. He graduated with highest honors from UC Davis in biochemistry, and he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology, a Qualified Medical Evaluator, a licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser, and a licensed X-Ray Supervisor/Operator. Dr. Lewis is honored to be past-president of the Santa Clara County Medical Association and past Chief of the Medical Staff at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Lewis treats both children and adults for general ear, nose and throat diseases. He has a special interest in hearing and balance problems, including chronic ear infections, sudden hearing loss, balance problems and vertigo.
When not working, Dr. Lewis has an eclectic mix of interests. He enjoys sporting events and activities, including running, swimming, cycling, golfing and basketball. He finds satisfaction in do-it-yourself home projects, especially woodworking. Above all, he loves to get out into the great outdoors and commune with nature.

I can not say enough good about Dr. Lewis. I was terrified about the procedure and pt it off for 8 plus years. He was compassionate, went into great detail to explain everything to me and made sure I understood. My questions never seemed silly. EXCELLENT. I've always thought that I had a skin condition inside my ears. I have either gotten a skeptical look or the brush off when I've mentioned this to other doctors in the past. Dr. Lewis took my history into account, and his exam findings confirmed "you can have eczema inside the ear". After all these years (I'm 64). It makes sense because my ear weeps, just like other ezcematous areas of my skin. Now I know how what preventive measures to take, and have meds on hand to relieve flares that are out of control. I felt that I was in the best of hands. I will probably never have to be seen again for this condition!

Dr. Lewis is excellent. I fully trust him. He has provided excellent care to me over many years. He helped stop my recurrent ear infections (haven't had one in several years). I I was getting them every year when I decided to see him, a specialist, about this. Also he has shown concern about my hearing issues related to damage from childhood ear infections and ear surgeries and has done his best to track my hearing loss and preserve my hearing. I appreciate that he valued my long term well-being and has provided such great care, more than I realized I needed when I first came in.

Dr Lewis was amazing he spent an hour with me trying to figure out what was wrong. he went back on the computer and looked at previous lab results. he was willing to dig around in my medical history to try and find an answer for my problem. his nurse was also very kind and considerate.
