Dr. Robert Millard is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He Is fellowship trained in Interventional spine care and Sports Medicine. Prior to joining Stanford, he was in private practice for 27 years. Dr. Millard’s medical practice involves the treatment of spine pain syndromes and Sports injuries. Interventional spine procedures performed by Dr. Millard include cervical/lumbar: transforaminal epidural injections; facet injections; medial branch blocks and radio frequency ablation (rhizotomies). He has served as team physician for the San Francisco 49ers (1992-2008) and the San Jose Sharks (2005-2015).

Dr. Millard but me off when I tried to explain the history of my pain that has been moving from neck, shoulder & low back, saying that we will just focus on one area (low back) today. He said I should make another appointment to talk about my neck pain! Without the history, how can you treat a patient appropriately? The way he stopped me in the middle of sentence was close to being rude. Only when I mentioned the name of my friend who referred me to him, his attitude changed. I feel very frustrated about the whole interaction with him.
