Dr. Alexander D. Pham specializes in Hematology/Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. He specializes in general medical oncology including breast, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as all types of benign and malignant hematologic conditions such as chronic leukemias, lymphomas, antiphospholipid syndrome, and coagulation disorders.
Dr. Pham’s early personal experiences with cancer have fueled his desire to develop genuine, intimate relationships with his patients, and to provide compassionate care. He hopes to sustain this commitment to improving quality of care overall, throughout his career.

He was empathic and kind. He is thorough and makes himself as available as he can. I also like his nurses and assistants. They went out of there way to make sure I had enough time with him. It is not easy to see him, the wait time for a longer appointment is way too long.

I think Dr. Pham has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever had. His calm, down to earth approach has always been much appreciated as a new and stressed out oncology patient. He listens and consistently asks if I have any questions or concerns and never makes me feel like I ask dumb questions when I’m sure I’ve asked plenty. He explains things in a way that even the lay person can understand.

The report detailing the visit was a bit confusing because it includes notes about being examined but it was a virtual visit. I also am not currently taking any iron supplements and the last time I had taken the liquid iron supplement was as prescribed by Dr Pham. Just wanted to share that in case the after visit report needs amendments. Thank you!

Dr. Pham listens carefully to my comments and answers my questions clearly. He spends the time necessary to gain a full understanding of the issues that I am seeing him for. After giving me some instructions for how he thought my treatments should proceed, he called me back a bit later and made some revisions to that recommendation. This showed me that he was still thinking about my situation even after the appointment had ended. I have complete confidence in Dr. Pham.

Dr Pham was very on time for my appointment and I appreciate that.
I was referred to Dr. Pham in December of 2017, after a biopsy revealed lymphoma.
His treatment plan was aggressive and effective. I experienced weeklong stays in the hospital to receive continuous chemotherapy every three weeks.
Dr. Pham was attentive and addressed my needs and requests as a patient during hospital stays. He always made sure to explain the course of treatment that he prescribed.
Office visits are always thorough and informative.
His patient/physician relationship model is “warmly professional†, he was very encouraging and somewhat a “cheerleader†during my chemotherapy, frequently expressing how well I was tolerating treatment. I feel very grateful for his protocols, there was a plan for the management of side effects, that was very helpful.
I’m now 21/2 years cancer free, and very grateful for my referral to Dr. Pham.
He took time to answer my concerns and we agreed on further action we would take.
