Dr Pol-Rodriguez is incredible. I made an error this morning thinking our appointment was a video-visit when it was really in person and she still managed to make time to see me virtually just 1hr after our originally scheduled meeting. She is always thoughtful and supportive and kind and so knowledgeable and answers all of my questions. I'm very grateful to have her as my dermatologist!
I only wish that it were possible that every doctor I saw at PAMF and Stanford were like Dr. Pol-Rodriguez. She’s not merely focused on addressing symptoms but on the actual cause of your condition or illness. She asked the most probing questions and thinks outside the box consistently on every issue. This is not been my experience with 90% of the doctors I meet with. I only wish that she were my primary care doctor and I could see her for all issues. I hold her in the highest respect and wish you the very best.

I have had a fabulous experience with Marlyanne, and I already have recommended to my close friends who share similar acne concerns. She really listens to your concerns, thoughts, and past experience. Our sessions always start with how the medications worked for me. She never forces any decision upon me; rather, with her amazing expertise, she provides guidance and knowledge on what each medication does and provides diagnoses, and upon mutual consensus, we begin or continue medications. I get a lot of courage and hope after each session, because it feels like a team effort, as opposed to something I need to figure out own my own. I have had acne-related concerns for a while, and never did I meet a dermatologist like Marlyanne who has so much experience and expertise who truly listens to and suggests evidence-based solutions to your concerns.

The doctor was friendly but professional, tried to distract me while she was administering the painkiller to take a biopsy, answered all my questions and even anticipated some. She introduced the two people with her. I had a very warm experience and the biopsy results came back the next day with a detailed explanation (more detailed than I could understand actually about the growth removed, but the important part - benign and didn't need to do anything - was clear and reiterated what the doctor told me. I'd recommend Dr. Pol-Rodriguez enthusiastically!

Given this visit was about a sudden change in my skin condition, Dr. Pol-Rodriguez and her staff went out of their way to get me into her office as soon as possible. As always, Dr. Pol-Rodriguez was extremely thorough in her examination of my skin: she looked at things on my skin that were not part of why I scheduled my visit to make sure everything was OK and, in fact, found things I didn't even notice (Dr. Pol-Rodriguez has eagle eyes!). Dr. Pol-Rodriguez is exceedingly good! I feel very fortunate to have her as my dermatologist!
Like I said earlier, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Pol-Rodriguez. Even though my concerns were not high priority, she made me feel like I was a priority as a patient, and that really touched me.

My only comment is that although my visits are short and timely, sometimes they do feel rushed. They feel as if they are trying to get through as many people as possible rather than slowing down and taking you into consideration when meeting with you.

She is amazing. Stitches were perfect. Her availability for questions is impressive.
I visited Dr. Pol-Rodriguez for removal of skin lesions. I specifically pointed out almost all (except for one) of the lesions that I wanted removed. She forgot 3 of them, all of which were clearly visible right after my appointment. This has resulted in me having to schedule yet another appointment to get the rest removed when they could have been taken care of once if it was done thoroughly.
I am confidant that she is "right up" on my problems. I have been seeing her for several months now, and one problem has been improving. A new problem has presented itself, but she is treating that skin problem. No bad experience here.
Have already recommended doctor to friend. SHe is the 4th doctor I have before a satisfactory one.

Single worst experience with a doctor I've ever had in my life. Will not ever return to Stanford for dermatology. Brusque, condescending, had an attitude that indicated she'd rather be anywhere than in the room. Reflects poorly on Stanford. Have not had this experience with other Stanford providers.
