Biography
Dr. Reimnitz received a Bachelors and a Masters Degree from Stanford University. She attended Case Western Reserve University for Medical School and did her Residency in OB-Gyn at UCLA. She has been practicing at Los Olivos Women’s Medical Group since 1988. Her interests include Women’s Health and the prevention of disease. She specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques including vaginal surgery and robotic surgery. She treats menopause, abnormal uterine bleeding, stress incontinence, uterine fibroids and uterine prolapse. She is a Fellow of the American college of OB/Gyn and the American College of Surgeons.

I have a fear of needles, I’ve been dealing with it since childhood and doctor visits can be a challenge sometimes. Dr. Reimnitz is a great doctor, I’ve been going to her for almost seven years, but I feel my phobia was brushed off, I had to explain to her my phobia and I wasn’t getting a flu shot in her office without morale support (they do not allow visitors in their office). Wasn’t until midway through my visit she checks my chart due to computer issues and notices the note for my needle phobia. It was embarrassing having to explain it again, please check my chart.

This was my first visit with Dr. Reimnitz. It has been very difficult to get an appointment with a gynecologist in Santa Cruz County where I live, so I searched online for Drs in Los Gatos. I chose Dr. Reimnitz because online reviewers said so many great things about her. And they were true - she listened to my history, was extremely friendly and easy to talk to, and I left thinking she would be my Dr going forward.

Very glad I found Dr. Reimnitz and she is in-network with my insurance. She is the first OB I have experienced whose PAP smears were so painless and lightning quick. Was very grateful she offered to reach out to my PCP to get a lab order issued when I explained to her how my PCP was ignoring my messages. Got the lab order within 2 days after she sent out the message. Definitely will be recommending her to my sibling.

I've been going to Dr. Reimnitz for years, and have always been pleased with her detailed follow up. She's very friendly and kind, but this was the first time she asked me nothing about any concerns or problems I might have. I indicated a couple of issues on my H&P, but she didn't talk to me about them. I filled out a Medicare form requesting a fecal test which I didn't receive. I realize I should have spoken up myself at the time, but I guess I was waiting for her. It made me wonder if this was a result of my being a Medicare patient with supplemental insurance vs. a patient with group coverage. I was surprised and disappointed.

Dr. Reimnitz has impressed me from day one. I first went to her back in 2007 when another doctor convinced me I had a fibroid tumor and needed to get it removed. I went to Dr. Reimnitz for a second opinion and she confirmed that there wasn't a tumor. I'm so grateful. Recently, I went to her because I suddenly had heart failure and didn't know why. She encouraged me to find another cardiologist, which I did at Stanford, and got a diagnosis within 2 weeks. My other cardiologist had missed it for years. Thanks to Dr. Reimnitz, I found out I have Cardiac Sarcoidosis. Left untreated, I would not be here. For every annual exam, she is very thorough and answers all of my questions. I appreciate her professionalism and optimism.

Dr. Reimnitz was excellent. She was very relatable. My primary doctor had prescribed me medication for high blood pressure months earlier, but I was reluctant to fill the prescription. Dr. Reimnitz simply said "It will make you feel better." IT DID!
Having had a 1st trimester miscarriage followed by a 2nd trimester miscarriage last year and now being pregnant again, Dr. Reimnitz was very understanding and knew there would be some nervousness. She made me feel at ease by explaining if I needed anything at any point in time (like coming in to hear the baby's heartbeat) they would be more than happy to schedule an appointment. I was not even thinking about doing things like this however knowing I can definitely made me feel more comfortable.

My doctor spent 10 minutes with me and seemed very rushed. I assume it was because her schedule was running very late.
Dr. Reimnitz is very nice - but I find it really hard to talk to her openly and frankly about some of my questions/concerns when I am laying naked and exposed on the exam table. It is clear she is pressed for time but it would be nice to be able to talk to her in her office. I end up not bringing up things that I'd really like to because the only time we have is in between the activities she is performing on my body - which I find very uncomfortable.

I had several concerns during my first pregnancy that were met with resistance from my doctor. I did not feel that my concerns were appropriately addressed or explained to me. I was told I was a worrier. I was given absolutely NO post pardem direction, information or advice at all. Was literally told 30 minutes after delivery "make a follow-up office visit in six weeks, congratulations." As stated previously it is extremely difficult to reach the care team, therefore my confidence in the doctor is diminished because I can often times not reach her.

I had several concerns during pregnancy that were addressed as simply being normal with no in depth conversation about possible remedies or future issues or resolutions post pregnancy. After delivery there was absolutely no post pardom care discussed. I was told to visit the office in six weeks. The pain medication I was on was not sent to the pharmacy, then sent to the wrong pharmacy and then we were told everyone was on lunch and nobody could help me obtain my medication. It took two days to obtain my pain meds after discharge. I was in a lot of pain and again there was no post pardom care discussed.
