Dr Morse did a terrific job preparing me (the patient) and my wife, for my upcoming surgery.
I am very happy with Dr. Woods. He gave me the information I needed and is leaving the decision to have the surgery, at my age, up to me. He did my back surgery six years ago and I am glad that he will be doing this one.

There were a couple of questions I asked we didn’t get to cover. My spine is bad so I didn’t know if I should have any restriction in my sports.

I had a poor experience with Stanford health. Not to say these are bad doctors. But it is ridiculous the amount of money I had to pay for zero results. I had my first visit, an office visit. I provided multiple scans, pre and post surgery, over a two year roughly period. I consented to a new X-ray during this first appointment (without being told the cost and later receiving a bill). My first appointment ended with me being asked to schedule a new MRI before I could be given any answers. After getting the MRI, I had a video visit, again I’m being left with no answers, no real help, and being told I should schedule another in person visit. I’m being charged an excess of $500 per visit. The fact that the MRI “was hard to read due to artifact†should have been an obvious result, since my last MRI was exactly the same. I shouldn’t be billed for that. And then being told to schedule another in person visit to test out range of motion, that should have been included in my first visit, and then being told even then there will probably still be no answer or solution. It is in no way cost effective or HELPFUL, to continue paying for appointments with zero results and being dragged along. Or being told other pain management solutions should be explored (I’ve tried them all) and of course those are not covered by insurance or provided by current providers.
i believed that before seeing the doctor an x-ray will happen, so the doctor has what to discuss with me.No x-ray and the visit was useless.
