Dr .Yang has used the challenges of the pandemic to make medicine a team of doctors addressing my issues and lead as a caring team. She communicates with her colleagues to get a consensus on tough issues. Dr Yang is never too busy to do the necessary and right thing.
To use a technical term, Dr.Yang is "awesome". She always asks me pointed questions so she can fully understand issues of concern to me. Being both a clinic physician and a researcher, she is in a position to prescribe treatments that non-research physicians might not be aware of. Also, she can if necessary devote up to an hour per appointment, giving her the opportunity to gather information from patients that would not be possible in a 12 minute appointment.
I believe she continues to explore every treatment option in helping me fight my bout with Parkinson's.

Wonderful doctor
Dr Yang uses the video to cover more information in the time allotted- she is able address questions or concerns with the same thoroughness as an in-person visit without it becoming impersonal- living 3 1/2 hours away video visits allows me to keep the best care available.
Dr Yang adjusts her time to the patient’s needs. When technology is difficult she has a plan B but always asks the patient if this is acceptable. She is always prepared for the meeting and asks for patient questions and concerns at the beginning and at the end of the meeting. She is caring and respectful with me as a patient. I am very comfortable discussing all my concerns.
In the 10 years I have had Parkinson’s this last year was when I met her and she has been the best neurologist so far. Staff communicates my needs to her very timely. I like her personality; she truly cares about her patients.

Dr. Laurice Yang is a gem. For sure I have complete confidence in her technical knowledge in all issues related to Parkinson's Disease, the condition for which I am being treated.
Beyond her technical expertise, she always takes the time to ascertain how Parkinson's is affecting my personal life and how she can help help me. For example, she always makes me aware of Stanford services other than those involving clinical treatment, such as speech therapy, exercise classes, genetic counseling. among others.
I never feel she is rushing through an appointment, as all visits are allocated at least 30 minutes, some an hour.
I truly enjoy having video visits or in person visit with Dr. Yang. She’s always kind and concerned.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 7 years ago; Dr, Yang started treating me approximately 4 years ago. Dr. Yang is a delight to have as a physician. She is very knowledgeable about the treatment options, she always takes the time during my visits to explain the options giving me the opportunity to decide on the option best for me but if I press her, she will offer her opinion. She is aware of the referral options; for example she has referred me to a physical therapist, a speech therapist, and a hand movement therapist, all of whom have helped me.

Dr Yang seems to expand the patient contact time with video visits and makes each visit a personal conversation between patient and doctor. She also recognizes when an in-person visit would be beneficial and makes the recommendation a talking point in order to help the patient understand. this care provider was very good about giving feed back from tests she had me take earlier. There was a problem reaching her on My Health site. I guess there were technical problems with the site. Once. everyone realized the problem, the care giver (Doctor) called and set up an appointment to go over test results and what she wanted to me to do next.

Whole process from setting appointments to navigating through the office for registration was done well and efficiently. One thing I might suggest is to have a chair or two at the registration tables. Some of us with Parkinson's experience periotic severe fatigue from time to time and a place to set during the registration process would be great!
