Advances in Sleep Surgery for the Treatment of OSA

A presentation by Dr. Carlos Torre

Surgery for the management of obstructive Sleep Apnea can have various roles. It can be used to address anatomical problems that make it difficult for some patients to tolerate their CPAP therapy.

In selected cases it can also be used as an alternative to CPAP. In this talk we will discuss in detail the proper evaluation of OSA patients that are being considered for surgical treatment.

We will also review the different procedures that are available, the proper selection of patients, and the role of these procedures in the management of OSA.
