Workshop

Introduction to Cancer Caregiving

Beginning to help a loved one through cancer treatment can be stressful. This introductory online class gives new caregivers the skills and resources to help:

  • Understand cancer and its treatments
  • Cope with stress
  • Deal with changing family roles
  • Meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient
  • Improve their own mental and physical health
  • Seek out and take advantage of community resources

This class is for people who are new to caregiving and are looking for education and resources. It is a one-time session, not a support group. Participants must also be residents of the state of California.
