The Stanford Neuroscience Patient Family Advisory Council is focused on empowering the healthcare experience by representing & supporting Neuro patients, families, and caregivers. We partner with the NeuroScience Medical Staff to find solutions for today's healthcare challenges impacting our community.
The Neuroscience PFAC has proven to be another validation of Stanford’s care and commitment - to include patients and caregivers and empower them to join in and help to create an environment where clinicians and treatments will be available to all current and future patients.
Our member experiences within the Neuroscience PFAC have continuously reflected consistent care, concern and dedication with a common goal of improvement, while working with Neuroscience clinicians, medical, and administrative staff.
Since the formation of the Neuroscience PFAC, our most significant accomplishment has been the all-encompassing participation of our entire council, with the building of the Stanford Neuroscience Health Center, a truly unique and amazing experience with a high level of engagement and inclusion.
Ongoing support of the over 20 Neuroscience subspecialties, including the review and identification of processes, issues, challenges and respective improvement opportunities.
Continued focus on Neuroscience PFAC member development and growth; especially related to the unique and wonderful opportunities offered by Volunteer Resources and Patient & Family Partner Program. These experiences are both rewarding and impactful.
Providing a forum for Stanford Hospital medical and administrative staff to present, review, and discuss Neuroscience related topics requiring patient feedback.
Continued growth and development of the Neuroscience PFAC membership and participation in coordination with the Patient & Family Partner Program management guidelines.
Review, initiation, and development of Neuroscience specific programs with appropriate Stanford Health Care management.
Strive to improve the patient experience by driving the initiative to motorize all bathrooms inside the Neuroscience Health Center with easy handicap push buttons.
