New Ocular Oncology Program
The Department of Ophthalmology created a comprehensive Ocular Oncology Program last fall to provide care for all forms of eye cancer in adults and children. This specialty has not been available at Stanford in more than five years.

Staff Concern Drives Safer Sharps Handling Procedures
Higher than average employee injury rates, staff safety concerns and a general misconception that needle sticks are an unavoidable fate for health care workers has spurred the Sharps Committee and Peri-Op Management to create a new, standardized sharps handling practice for Stanford Hospital.
