Apart of being an ongoing support to all our heart transplant patients and families, we are also interested in building a community. Therefore we are working to organize events, such as potlucks or sports events, to congregate all the heart transplant patients and families.
If you would like to join our community and know more about how and in what ways you can get involved contact Cathy Miller, LCSW: 650-723-5581.
Stanford Health Care’s Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery completed ten heart-lung block transplants in 2018 – more than any other group in the world.
Clinical trials are research studies that evaluate a new medical approach, device, drug, or other treatment. As a Stanford Health Care patient, you may have access to the latest, advanced clinical trials.
Open trials refer to studies currently accepting participants. Closed trials are not currently enrolling, but may open in the future.
