Selegiline for Parkinson's Disease
Selegiline
Selegiline belongs to a class of medications called MAO inhibitors. It is believed that this medication helps prevent the breakdown of dopamine in the brain.
This medication is usually used at a later stage of Parkinson's disease and in combination with Sinemet®.
Side effects
Major side effects associated with selegiline include nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain and confusion.
