Subtypes of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

There are several subtypes of AML. In addition to identifying characterists of your blood cells under a microscope, your care team is likely to pursue tests that look for changes in certain chromosomes.

These tests provide certain insights into which treatments may be more effective in treating you.
