Macular Hole Diagnosis
Macular Hole Diagnosis
We use several tests to diagnose macular holes:
- Dilation: Dilating the pupil can provide a better view of the retina.
- Optical coherence tomography (OCT): A laser scans your retina, to measure its thickness and look for swelling.
- Fluorescein angiography: Injecting dye and then taking photographs allows us to look for macular holes.
