Your Cirrhosis Treatment Plan
We will determine your specific treatment for cirrhosis based on:
- Your age, overall health and medical history
- Extent of the disease
- Your tolerance for specific medications, procedures or therapies
- Expectations for the course of the disease
- Your opinion or preference
Cirrhosis Treatment Options
Cirrhosis is a progressive liver disease. The damage to your liver is irreversible. The goal of treatment is to delay or stop further damage to the liver by:
- Eating a well-balanced, nutritious diet
- Avoiding certain toxins, such as alcohol
- Supplementing with vitamins
- Managing any complications
Cirrhosis Treatment: Liver Transplantation
