Ablation is a non-surgical technique used to pinpoint and correct arrhythmias such
as atrial tachycardia, atrial
fibrillation and atrial
flutter. The procedure is often done in conjunction with an EPS,
which is performed first to locate the source of the arrhythmia.
Ablation has several variations, including techniques using heat,
cold and chemicals to achieve treatment for the arrhythmia.
