Complications of Esophagus Reconstruction
Complications Associated with Esophagus Reconstruction
The Stretta® device allows us to control the amount of heat we apply in a manner not possible through other radiofrequency ablation techniques. This significantly lowers your risk of complications.
As with any procedure, it's possible for complications to happen. Possible complications associated with esophagus reconstruction include:
- Bleeding at the surgical site
- Difficulty belching
- Pain in you esophagus or chest
- Unintentional puncture (perforation) or tearing in the lining of your esophagus
