What Is Long Pulsed Laser Treatment?
Conditions
Long pulsed lasers may be used to rejuvenate skin and to treat two key conditions:
Hirsutism
This condition results from excess male hormones causing abnormal growth of hair on the face or body, especially of a woman.
Spider veins
Some blood vessels that look like spider webs are vascular lesions — conditions that include hemangiomas and port wine stains.
What to Expect from Long Pulsed Laser Treatment
Long pulsed laser treatment can be especially effective to remove unwanted hair and to treat damaged blood vessels in the legs.
The doctors on our Dermatologic Surgery team are experts in using the most advanced long pulsed laser technology. We have helped refine the most sophisticated procedures to make them as effective and safe as possible for our patients.
Most patients see results immediately, and the treatment is safe for all skin and hair types.
You may feel a warming or tingling sensation during treatment. After treatment, the feeling may be like a mild, temporary sunburn.
