Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare Changes Name to Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley
July 26, 2022
Pleasanton, CA (July 26, 2022) Effective today, Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare has changed its name to Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley to better align within Stanford Medicine and create a stronger, more seamless brand experience for our patients and communities.
Together with the Stanford School of Medicine, Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, and the adult health care delivery system (which comprises Stanford Health Care, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, and Stanford Medicine Partners) as part of a unified Stanford Medicine, we will continue improving health outcomes for individuals in the communities that we serve.
Since 1961, ValleyCare has been committed to providing world-class health care to our neighbors. A cornerstone of our success over the last 60 years is our deep relationship with the community. As we have expanded our footprint and services over the years, this bond with our patients and caregivers enables us to uphold our legacy of compassionate, human-focused care, one patient at a time. The Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley name represents the next step in our evolution, recognizing our ability to bring the award-winning, high-quality care that our community has come to expect from us, made possible because of our relationship with Stanford Medicine. It connects the research, educational, and clinical expertise of Stanford Medicine to the treasured legacy of ValleyCare and our deep connection to the communities that we serve in the Tri-Valley region and beyond.
“This new name recognition helps better communicate the clear connection between our community-based hospital and the larger Stanford Medicine ecosystem and unifies the connection between entities.” says Rick Shumway, president and CEO of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, “It reinforces our commitment to our community, and clearly allows our community to acknowledge their access to the power of Stanford Medicine.”
