As a college student, James Ford, MD, loved to play jazz bass. But the excitement of the new field of cancer genetics really grabbed his attention. Now, a leader in its research, Dr. Ford focuses his work on understanding and treating familial cancer. He directs the Stanford Cancer Genetics Program, where he shares the results of his research with his patients and their families.
