Dr. Basham explained very clearly, all the steps she was taking during my first exam, and then she assessed, again, very clear the findings of my ultrasound. Finally, she went over the two options that I have to take care of my problem. She didn't push for one or another, giving me the time to think about both and make my own decision. I would not recommend this care provider to anyone because her schedule is so limited. I had to schedule a month in advance for a 10 minute appointment, and then had to schedule another 6 weeks in advance for an IUD exchange.

I was extremely nervous about this procedure but Dr. Bashum was able to answer all of my questions and reassure me that everything would go okay. As she was performing the procedure, she walked me through step by step what she was doing. After insertion of my IUD, Dr. Bashum took appropriate measures to make me comfortable because she noticed a drop in my blood pressure which turned my face pale. I was impressed with how many times she personally came back into the room to check on me to make sure i was okay

I was very impressed by Dr. Basham's new patient orientation and welcome process. She took the time prior to my exam to sit in her office and get to know a bit about my history and any important health concerns that I might have. I have never had this experience before and it is a very nice touch to have an opportunity to get to know the doctor a bit prior to an exam when you are a new patient. More physician's should adopt this practice.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Basham. She sat with me and walked me through all of my questions and gave me very clear answers regarding care that was completely foreign to me. I cannot emphasize enough how kind, understanding, informative, and patient she was with me. She answered my questions in detail that I could understand very well, and made sure I was aware of what was happening during a small procedure at each step, and made sure that I was comfortable with everything. She made me feel like a person rather than just a patient, and I cannot tell you how much that meant to me.

I was very impressed that I was taken to the doctor's office to discuss why I was there, as well as my medical history, before changing into a gown. The doctor spent 30-45 minutes with me before we moved into the exam room for the exam. That shows me that she cares about her patients and that she's willing to take the time to listen to us. This was a first visit, so I don't expect that to happen for every visit, but I do expect her to be a good listener since she was for this visit.
