I visited Dr. kaur after experiencing symptoms for several months and meeting with another Endo and my primary doctor several times. Dr. Kaur was knowledgeable, analytical,empathetic and action orientated she truly made me feel like she was motivated to understand what was going on.

Dr.Kaur is a caring compassionate, physician. She does not rush through an exam. She takes time to listen to me. Her instructions are clear and easy to understand.. She does not use "medical-ese" to explain things.

I have had good w Dr Kaur however this last visit was a disappointment. No acknowledgement of her last minute cancelling of my appt. Redo on blood tests from covering physician. Little time spent on seeing me as a whole person w a complex set of issues versus focusing on just the thyroid. I need a biopsy which is scheduled but was left "hanging" on the other issues that came up. I have been w Stanford prior to it being Stanford - I have always been happy w my care. I felt little connection and dismissed which is unfortunate since I have a serious situation w my thyroid which is stressful enough. It leaves me in a difficult situation.
Dr. and assistant were very reassuring and informative.

I can't get a full sentence in before Dr. kaur interrupts. it took her One year to finally tell me how to lose weight. I told her months ago I was suspicious about depression- she never addressed it. She doesn't even sit down, every appointment is rushed, interrupted, I get on the defensive, and leave feeling confused.
After unexpected effect of the new medication prescribed by the doctor I called to the office twice. I was promised that doctor would call me back, but she did not call. I'll have now to resolve my problem with another doctor.
Dr. Kaur is worth the wait and I understand that sometimes another patient may need more time.
I saw Dr. Kaur for issues with my thyroid and she is the first endocrinologist to ever listen to my concerns and to take them into consideration. Normally, the endocrinologists I have seen in the central valley only care amount my TSH even though my other thyroid levels are low. Dr. Kaur was very thorough and has ordered tests that will truly evaluate any thyroid issues that I have

Thanks to Dr Kaur's diligence I recently had successful surgery at Stanford. I thanked her for being so thorough & referring me to Dr Cisco.
I'm pretty confident Dr. Kaur knows her stuff but I felt she was dismissive, didn't really care about me or my concerns. She had her script and one size fits all. Not warm or caring. I won't be back.
The phone call to schedule the appointment was very poor. Rude person answered the phone and ignored me to listen to a colleague. When I told the medical Asistant, Lupe, about this, she immediately helped and called in Julianna, the Site Lead. Julianna immediately came in and listened to my complaint with my empathy and understanding. I was very impressed with the customer service from Lupe and Julianna. Dr. Kaur is always very good at listening to my issues and providing olutions.
dr Kaur knowledge is evident and her ability to explain and encourage is commendable. Endocrine and diabetes is difficult enough but when you are told the how and why and a pathway for improvement it helps so much

no concern, did not follow through with what she said she would do, referred me back to internist.
Overall, we have not been impressed with this office. Dr. Kaur is very professional- to the point she uses medical terms and skims over things. The only other doctor I have to compare her to is my surgeon from last fall- she explained and drew out everything, checked in on my well-being, and made me feel like I wasn't being rushed. She even called me from her personal phone to check in on me, and had me come to UCSF after my radioactive iodine surgery so she could see how I was doing. Dr. Kaur did not call me after coming back into town from Christmas vacation. Nuclear medicine told me she would call Jan 2nd, after the holidays, to check in on me and make sure I was okay and give me my prescription. I had to contact her office days later, as I still hadn't heard from Dr. Kaur. She did refill my prescription, but no check in on my well being. After a major procedure, and being told she would check in on me, I was disappointed to not get any contact from her.
