Dr Tim is an excellent diagnostician. She is brilliant and direct in her explanation of her findings and proposed aftercare. Dr. Tim does not over-react or over exaggerate in the consultation. There was a time when Dr. Tim diagnosed a potentially debilitating disease based on her questions and my answers, which I thought were innocuous and conversational. But for Dr. Tim’s amazing diagnosis, I could be blind in one eye. That is how brilliant she is…and that is one of many situations, perhaps not as significant but from a health management perspective, none better than Dr. Leslie Tim.

When I told her that United Health Care allowed me to choose her as my Primary Care Physician when Dr. Michael Kim left the practice, she informed me that she was referring me to management to be assigned to another PCP because her practice is full. I understand this.

She asked all the right questions, and gave me advice/prescriptions for my cough. however, I felt she was a little abrupt, and held me somewhat accountable for the condition I was in. I have never had a Dr like Dr Tim. She is very sharp, calm and knowledgeable but what stands out to me is her real concern for my health and progress. I failed to do some blood tests she ordered and she later wrote me a note and included the lab requests in case I had lost them. I delayed and she sent another note . After that I determined to be the kind of patient who deserves that kind of concern. If I have been lax in following her advice (exercise) she does not make me feel guilty but instead offered alternative exercise options I had not considered. I feel very fortunate to be her patient.

It's not the doctors fault I know that the majority of time has to be spent working the computer rather than interacting with the patient. but I have to go on record as not being a fan of having my health issues quickly crammed into a computer while I end up being just some background noise as the doctor types and searches for screens. It ends up feeling like I'm taking my SAT's rather than sharing my health concerns with a professional.
