I was seen and explained to Dr Velpuri my concerns and I was not touched or examined at all. I explained I have pain in my ear and it was not looked at or addressed, my BP was very high and it was not addressed. I was treated more like I was there for depression, which I was not. I was frustrated and felt like I was brushed off with my concerns with no answers as what to do next. I will be seeing a different MD for any other concerns in the future.

Dr Velpuri did not do much beyond answering some questions and ordering basic tests. She only heard to my heart and lung. I found her approach to be very casual and cursory. She had not read my records before coming in. I came away feeling that I did not get a thorough physical exam that I deserved.

Dr Velpuri was so good, I bursted into tears at the end. Don't recall that ever happened to me in a doctor's office. She was not my PCP but she researched my files and can talk to me about the relevant points the moment she came in. The entire conversation is focused on my issue of concern, yet she connects with care. For example, I mentioned that my shoulder was itchy and after she did the general exam, she didn't look at my shoulder. She told me to get dressed and meet her outside, but she wasn't outside, so I couldn't ask her to look at my shoulder.
