Purpose

This clinical trial studies how well ultrasound elastography works in assessing the cancer status of potentially malignant thyroid nodules.

Eligibility Criteria

Ages Eligible for Study: Older than 18 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study: All
Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No
Inclusion Criteria:
  1. - Presence of a thyroid nodule that is amenable to ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration
Exclusion Criteria:
  1. - Patients who are unable to lie supine for a biopsy - Pregnant patients
