What are your methods of payments for parking?

Cash and all major credit cards are accepted.

Do you offer in and out privileges?

In and out privileges are only available with the seven-day parking pass. Seven-day parking passes can be purchased for $35 through the gift shop or security office. These passes are good for seven consecutive days and do allow in and out privileges for those self-parking at the Pasteur Visitor Garage (Parking Structure 4).

Is ADA parking free or at a discounted rate?

No. Posted parking rates apply to all vehicles.

Where is ADA parking available?

There are ADA spaces available inside of the Pasteur Visitor Garage (Parking Structure 4) located at 200 Pasteur Dr. ADA vehicles are also accepted at all valet locations.

Can I validate my parking visit?

Some clinics validate for the Pasteur Visitor Garage (Parking Structure 4). Please check with the clinic you are visiting.

Can I retrieve my valeted vehicle 24/7?

Yes, vehicles may be retrieved after-hours by contacting the Security Department at: 650-723-7222 or via the intercom located just outside the entrance of Main Hospital and Blake Wilbur / Cancer Center valet kiosk.

What if I have appointments in multiple locations?

The free tram service can transport you from one side of the medical campus to the other. If you know you will be at different locations within the hospital, the underground Pasteur Visitor Garage (Parking Structure 4) is the most central parking location as well as the tram main stop.

If I am parked at Blake Wilbur and I complete my visit at the Main Hospital, can I pick up my car from that location?

The free tram service is available to take you from one location to another. If you need special accommodations, please speak with the valet supervisor on duty or contact us at: 650-736-8000.

I am a long-term visitor; is there an option to purchase a long-term pass?

Seven-day passes can be purchased for $35 through the gift shop or security office. These passes are good for seven consecutive days and allow in and out privileges. If you need parking accommodations for longer than 30 days, please contact the parking office at parking@stanfordmed.org.

If my family member visits, do they have to pay?

Yes. Posted parking rates apply to all vehicles.

Where can I stage my car if I am picking up a family member?

All parking locations, valet and self-parking, offer free parking for the first hour. Limited exceptions to stage vehicles in a designated area are made available based on first come first serve basis. Please check in with our parking attendants upon arrival to determine availability for your situation.

How long can I park my car in self-parking garage?

Patients admitted in the hospital may park their vehicle in the garage for the duration of their hospital visit. Visitors may park for a maximum of three days.

How long can I leave my car in valet?

Vehicles should not stay parked longer than three days in valet. Vehicles are encouraged to park in Pasture Visitor Garage (Parking Structure 4) if they need to remain on site for longer than three days. If you need assistance relocating your vehicle from valet to self-parking garage, please contact us at parking@stanfordmed.org or 650-736-8000.

Can I park my RV at the hospital?

RV parking is available in the Quarry lot adjacent to the Hoover Garage at 217 Quarry Rd. Passes are sold for a maximum of five business days at $5 per day and can be purchased at the security office.

Can I leave my pet in my car if I use valet parking?

No, for the safety of your pet and our staff, pets are strictly prohibited.

How may I file a vehicle damage claim?

Please bring any vehicle claims to the attention of the parking attendant as soon as possible.  If no parking attendant is available, please contact security at 650-723-7222.

How do I get to Stanford by train, bus, bike, or other alternate forms?

Guest Services is happy to discuss your transportation needs at 650-728-3333. Alternate transportation options are also posted on the internet at: http://www.stanford.edu/dept/visitorinfo/plan/public_transit.html.

Where can I store my bicycle?

There are bicycle racks located at all entrances to the hospital. Bicycles are stored at owner's risk. Be sure to lock your bike for safety.

How do I dismiss a City of Palo Alto parking citation?

All citations are handled by the City of Palo Alto only. To file a citation dispute, please visit: http://transportation.stanford.edu/parking_info/CitationAppeal.shtml for more information.
