Stop the Bleed | Community Trainings

Stop the Bleed is a nationwide program designed to empower civilian bystanders to act quickly and save lives in a bleeding emergency until professional help arrives.

Join the Stanford Health Care Trauma Service team for hands-on training. Learn techniques to quickly control severe bleeding with pressure, packing, and a tourniquet. At the end of the session, you’ll receive a certificate of completion. Trainings are free and open to all.

Training Dates

Trainings are held at the Stanford Center for Education and Professional Development from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the fourth Monday of every month through November 2023, except March and June. A skills-only course, in which the lecture portion is completed online and the hands-on skills are learned in person, is also available 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. the fourth Monday in February*. Please register ahead of time. Space is limited.
