Art for Health: Virtual Reality Art Program

Virtual Reality Art Program

The Arts in Wellness Program offers a creative outlet for patients who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate in traditional Bedside Art or are interested in using their imagination in a virtual reality setting.

Using a virtual reality headset and handheld controllers, a VR facilitator guides patients through an immersive experience to explore painting or drawing artwork.

Benefits of virtual reality art in the hospital include:

  • Relive stress and anxiety
  • Encourage rehabilitation
  • Restore a sense of normalcy
  • Lift spirits
