Advancing Heart Failure Treatment: A Conversation with Dr. Teuteberg
02.01.2019
Jeffery Teuteberg, MD, associate professor and chief of heart failure, cardiac transplantations, and mechanical circulatory support for Stanford Health Care, discusses heart failure in our Heart Health Series. He answers questions about how hearts fail, co-arising conditions that accompany heart failure, and how his team is empowering doctors to recognize the signs of heart failure for referrals and timely intervention. Dr. Teuteberg also talks about the latest technology for diagnosis, treatment therapies, and minimally invasive follow-up care, as well as the options of different types of transplants, and the comprehensive care offered to patients and families at the Heart Transplant Program at Stanford Health Care.
Stanford has the longest history of heart transplants in the US and are world-leaders in heart-lung transplants.
