The Heart of AFib: Risk, Prevention, and Treatment
05.30.2021
Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is the most common irregular heart rhythm, with about 1 in 4 Americans expected to develop the condition in their lifetime. It can cause heart palpitations and fatigue, and increase your risk of stroke, heart failure, and death.
Stanford Health Care experts are at the forefront of AFib prevention and treatment. Learn about the mechanics of AFib, the latest treatments, and what you can do to reduce your risk. If treated properly, individuals diagnosed with AFib can expect a good quality of life and normal lifespan. AFib is also preventable and symptoms can improve with lifestyle changes like weight loss, exercise, and a better diet.
This is a recording of a February 6, 2021 virtual event. The chat feature is no longer available. If you would like more information on how Stanford Health Care can help you with AFib, please complete the "Connect With Us" form: https://afib.stanfordhealthcare.org/connect-with-us/
