Connecting with the individuality of each of his patients in order to help them stay healthy is what Vijay Mirmira, MD, finds most rewarding in his work at Alameda Family Physicians.

Growing up in Chennai, India, he was inspired to become a physician by his own family doctor, a man who paid close, respectful attention to every patient, even with 30 others waiting to see him. “No matter how long it took, he was always patient,” recalls Dr. Mirmira.
