Dr. Alamin is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon and spine surgeon at Stanford Health Care Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He is director of the Spine Surgery Fellowship Program and the Minimally Invasive Spine Center and a professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Alamin completed his spine care and surgery fellowship training at Stanford University School of Medicine/St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Dr. Alamin specializes in advanced, minimally invasive treatments for a range of conditions affecting the spine. He is skilled at relieving pain that results from spinal stenosis, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and traumatic injuries. I've never had an MD who's as good as he is, and I've seen scores of them for a wide variety of spinal and other issues. He knows his stuff, he's waaaaay smarter than the average bear (or MD), he does his homework (one of the few MDs I've seen who actually reviews your chart and diagnostic radiography materials BEFORE your appointment), and he actually, truly cares (!!) about his patient's health and emotional well-being.

Tood is extremely caring, thorough, professional, personable, and an amazing surgeon. The flawed surgery he corrected caused me to stoop forward and barely walk. I'd consulted with 4 previous surgeons, including USC and UCLA and they had all told me my condition was permanent and irreversible, that I would be "crippled for life". Within 5 minutes of looking at my x-rays doctor Alamin could see the cause of the problem, described what he would do to correct it, and that is exactly what he did; "gave me my life back", I am so grateful!

This was my first meeting with Dr. Aliman and he is awesome in both professionalism and attitude. It is rare anymore that a doctor is not "multi tasking during a visit. Natalie Archambo, the Physician assistant is also very thorough and caring and provided excellent care and instructions. Both were readily available by emails.
It was really nice to have a surgeon who understands active lifestyles and knows what certain exercises entail so that when I ask if I can do them, I don't have to explain what it is. As a result, I feel confident that having the surgery was the right thing to do for me and I'm excited to be able to set crazy goals again without worrying about the symptoms returning.
I am very active and have a somewhat different lifestyle at the moment and Dr. Alamin has been really helpful with getting me back up and running ASAP. As someone who can't sit still and feels like lounging around is a waste of heartbeats, I can really appreciate doctors who minimize downtime.
