Dr. Kamilee Christenson is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship trained in Complex Family Planning. She is passionate about providing comprehensive women’s health care. She enjoys educating and empowering women about their bodies. In addition to full spectrum OBGYN care, Dr. Christenson’s professional interests include complex contraception and office procedures. When she is not working she loves taking care of her two daughters, swimming, and traveling to new places.

Dr. Christenson went out of her way to ask about my own well-being during the pandemic, as well as my family's. Even though it's been a year since I last saw her, she remembered that I'm very close to my father and siblings, and she expressed great sympathy when I told her our father had passed away because of COVID. This was very comforting to me and meant a lot.

In this day and age where most doctors (due to no fault of their own) are box checkers and rush through patient visits, Dr. Christenson truly differentiates herself. During this visit and all of my previous visits, she has treated me with compassion and care. No matter how busy she may be or how late she may have to stay, she always makes time to answer my questions and to even ask about my personal life in order to forge a better connection. I feel truly cared for by Dr. Christenson and am grateful to have her as my obgyn.
She answered all my questions, explained my situation well, and spent as much time as I needed without making me feel rushed. Truly compassionate! She also gave me an excellent referral and explained her reasoning behind the choice.
Dr. Christenson was extremely patient with me, acknowledging my anxiety with being there. she took the time to explain everything before she did it. she was a master at using conversation to distract from the awkwardness of the visit and was genuinely very understanding.

She explained her interpretation of my ultrasound results in plain English that I could understand, and suggested several treatment options. Dr. Christianson came highly recommended, and I had a stellar experience with her, EXCEPT that the diagnoses she entered into my record, which I saw later on MyHealth, were listed in medical terms she did not explain to me. I had to Google the terms in my own medical record later to realize that they mapped onto the issues we had only discussed in layman's terms. I wish Dr. Christianson had shared with me the technical terms for the issues we discussed verbally instead of just entering them into my record.

Dr. Christenson is an amazing physician, surgeon, and person!
She was SO patient with me, I am supremely grateful and she's easily my favorite gyn ever. She let me get into the weeds with my questions and respected the fact that I did a lot of "homework" reading about my treatment options. She took the time to explain her latest understanding of gyn treatment methods and it gave me confidence that she was up to date! She also answered a large volume of emails from me, which I think hinted at my concern. But in the room she really put me at ease and I felt like she was very empathetic. I literally remember her saying that it was definitely a good thing to care what was happening to my body. What a reassuring thing to hear. She was also wonderful at being mindful of how my husband was doing (the answer to that is...squirming, so hard, in the corner) and thought to dismiss him to the waiting room - to his relief! That was so thoughtful.
I brought up a women's health concern that I've had for years and that I brought up to other providers and it was dismissed. Providers don't take this topic seriously. That's the only concern I have with Dr Christensen.
Dr. Kristensen is an amazing doctor that I would recommend to anyone. I had so many questions about IUD options and she patiently answered every single one and made me feel like I had control over my own healthcare decisions.
Overall good experience. Addresses questions, but doesn't go into much detail.

I am very happy with my doctor, she is kind. I wish someone had told me I needed pads after my surgery, I was unprepared for blood leaking.
Dr Christenson is a great doctor. She takes the concerns of the patient seriously and puts us at ease during all the appointments.
My file indicates sensitive matter re: medical history. I am comfortable discussing it however this visit the doctor addressed the material rather abruptly and unexpectedly. I became emotional (crying) yet continued to communicate with her through it. She did not seem to accept my side of the communication as she proceeded to push recommendations and requests of me which did not honor the sensitive nature of my medical history or the current/recent status of myself relative to the medical history. I continued to be emotional through the remainder of the exam/visit and felt, though this was the first time we shared this failure of report, that it was significantly discouraging. I listed I would still recommend her as she has been, every other visit, wonderful of bedside manner and very friendly. I believe she is an exceptionally qualified practitioner; I simply feel I will now be guarded and that isn't a status I prefer with a doctor.
Doctor was super clear about the procedure and made me feel very comfortable. Trusted her completely and had a great experience.
I was pleased that she directly addressed some of the more uncomfortable topics associated with OB/GYN care. Previously they had been hard to discuss with my earlier specialist.

I was a little confused about which follow - up appointments to make.
My doctor was very patient in the IUD insertion process and took the time to explain everything I should know.
Dr. Christenson did a really good job at taking her time with me, answering every question I had and providing a sheet with medication benefits/effects. I think it would be wise to explain to every pregnant woman the process of how a baby is conceived. For example, my last menstrual cycle was 10 weeks ago. However, my baby was conceived 8 weeks ago. For pregnancy terms, we shall say the baby is 10 weeks old because back in the day this was the only way they could define the length of the pregnancy. Take off two weeks, and THAT'S when the baby was conceived.

she is excellent. i had a rare complication after the delivery of my daughter. even though she only saw me once during my pregnancy she was awesome. she was very comforting when she discussed my need for surgery in the early post part period and since then has been excellent. she also held my baby so i could get dressed when i was there without my husband. she is exceptional
