Biography
Being from Bay Area, I enjoy providing medical care to patients in northern California. I am excited to be part of the wonderful team of gastroenterologists at Stanford University Medical Center with its multi-disciplinary approach to caring for patients in an integrated healthcare system. I am dedicated to providing high-quality care to my patients while getting to know their personal beliefs so as to involve them in the decision-making process. Based on my education and training, I practice general gastroenterology in addition to performing endoscopies and colonoscopies.

Ms Grewal appeared to be uninterested in my situation. She seemed to be unsure why I had been referred to her.
She seemed well-versed in the issues we discussed, and very thorough and prompt in her documentation of the visit.

Pleasant and informative
It is difficult to assess an interaction with someone over a video call but I felt like there was zero attempts to make a personal connection and, while I wasn’t completely dismissed for my concerns, I felt like I was speaking to a robot or someone with little to no desire to engage on a human level.
She is a friendly doctor and trustworthy. She is knowledgeable and knows what she is doing.

Very comfortable
Appreciated her greatly. I would like more specific questions so I don't give too much irrelevant information.
Dr. Grewal can come across as inattentive or dismissive. I also don’t know why we’re using simplified language for things. I know what an esophagus is and there was no reason to switch to “food pipe.†It was weird. Our first appointment was weird too when she got annoyed about the internet connection. I live an area with bad connection don’t get annoyed when your office is the when doing the video visits when I prefer the in person.
Dr. Grewal listened and explained what she felt the diagnosis and referred me to ,medical tests to be assured we are on the right track. She did spend enough time to answer my questions, explained my condition and made suggestions to help me be more comfortable until I can be scheduled for the ARM.

In the office or on a telemedicine visit it is difficult to take notes. It so helpful when the physician takes time to provide important details of the visit. Extremely friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, caring. It was important to me that the Dr did not see me as just a number but as a human being going through a health issue. She was amazing.
She did great considering not all my files were sent to her office before the visit but was able to do what my old Specialist could not, That is to find other methods in determining what can be wrong with me instead of throwing medications at me. She is knowledgeable and great at listening.
I had a lot to do after the doctor's visit in another part of the campus. The doctor explained why certain tests were needed and why certain pre-operative procedures were necessary. After my doctor-patient meeting I completed the rest of my tasks quickly and easily.
It was our first appt here ever, we felt at ease and confident at the care that I received.
