Biography
Golara Honari, MD, a specialist in eczematous dermatoses including contact dermatitis atopic dermatitis, and occupational dermatoses. A native of Iran, Dr. Honari earned her medical degree from Iran’s University of Medical Sciences in 1999 and completed her residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic. While at the Cleveland Clinic, she also completed a Fellowship in Contact Dermatitis and Environmental Dermatology. Her professional interests include eczematous dermatoses, contact dermatitis, systemic hypersensitive, phototoxicity and photo allergies, and occupational dermatology. Dr. Honari is currently a member of the Board of Directors at the American Contact Dermatitis Society and serves as a mentor at the International Society of Dermatology in the arena of Contact Dermatitis. Her research is in the fields of contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and cutaneous and systemic hypersensitivity reactions.

I think my Doctor is very good - very competent and personable. I did have to wait longer than usual while in the examination room (~40minutes) which was the only negative of this visit. Normally the wait time is not that long. Anyway, I'd recommend Dr. Honari for dermatology.

Spent barely any time with me and did not take any time after my procedure to discuss after care, expectations, and what to do if a problem arose. Dr. Honari was very frazzled due to an overwhelmed schedule.
Dr. Honari is an amazing doctor who really does everything possible to meet the needs of her patients. Very knowledgeable and also empathetic.

I have seen Dr Hanori in the past at both office locations ( Los Gatos ; Redwood City) this was the first time I was seen in the comfort of my home. The service provided was efficient for the "update" and prescription needs.
she's a great doc I have her years now and won't change even tho they closed the office on Los Gatos not to happy about that and transfer her to Redwood City I was willing to drive there to see her they want me to go the sam jose one but she's not there I like her and she know my face skin and problems so when this stay at home came along she did the video chat I thought that was thoughtful instead of just cancelling or make a new spot I appreciate that and thanks for working too

The doctor seemed to be very hurried. She was in and out of the exam room during my visit. I had to explain my issues the third time (first to the assistant, and second to the interning doctor) from the beginning when she finally entered the room. She tried to pass me off quickly after going over the first issue. I had to inform her she did not address all my issues (which have been gone over with her two assistants). She was interrupted at least twice and left the room. Overall I did not feel I received much attention from her.

Dr. Honari was so thorough and compassionate. She listened and made great suggestions. She devoted every second to me during the visit. I am so glad to have her as my dermatologist.
Dr. Honari is absolutely horrible doctor. She is condescending, arrogant, patronizing, not listening to patients, assuming that patients fake their symptoms or at least exaggerate them, diminishing, trivializing and denying their suffering, lacking any empathy and any humane feeling, treating patients as guinea pigs, making patients feel miserable after appointments with her.
The person that attended to us was very kind and showed interest to my problem explained about medications very well and ensured that I understood everything.
this is my 3rd tube seeing Dr Honari in the past few years 1x/year). she is very thorough & takes time to explain everything. I appreciate the time she takes with me. I like that she always has a student or dr getting further specialized training. I know how important that is.

Appointment felt rushed. Did not provided solutions for issue. Said she would email me a list for care needs and did not. Unsure of care plan and follow up upon leaving. Dr. did not listen to be descibe my symptoms, kept cutting me off, felt disregarded.

I thought Dr. Honari was outstanding! Her bedside manner, medical knowledge, concern, and her ability to resolve any issues I had were exemplary in every way!
While giving care instructions was facing computer and entering info into computer. With her slight accent and my poor hearing, I got minimal understanding of recommended therapy and rationale for it. A waste of my time and money.

She is always extremely attentive and answers any and all of our concerns. I know she is busy, but you always feel as though we are her only patients. We refer friends to Stanford frequently!
The doctors spent a good deal of time with me and understood my concerns. They were very easy to talk with and I appreciated their willingness to work through the issues rather than just giving me the results of the tests and sending me on my way.
