Dr. Imig did not establish much of a connection with me. It was my first time there and she walked into the room without introducing herself or saying hello and addressing me by name. She looked at me and the first thing she said was to ask me if I had undressed. She was very business-like the whole time, although I felt that she was knowledgeable. In my opinion, it is so important to establish a connection with a patient, esp. in the ob/gyn field which is so personal.

Overall I found (find) Dr. Imig to be a very compassionate and empathetic Dr.; I am personally dealing with the recent loss of my mother and she validated my feelings by sharing that the mental health survey was going to be difficult for me to complete because the loss for me was so acute and even with my BP being a little high understood the reasons behind it. So overall for her being my OBGYN, she looked at the health of the whole person and I so appreciated her for that.

Dr. Mary Imig has been my OBGYN for the last 27 years. She's the best doctor I've ever had. And even though I've had more than a dozen health insurance plans over the decades, I only pick the insurance in which she is one of the doctors. Dr. Imig delivered 2 of my children--and one pregnancy was very serious. The baby is now a strapping 25 year old sailor in the US Navy. Currently, Dr. Imig helps me with "old age" women's issues. I've referred dozens of patients to her. They all thank me for the referral!

I felt rushed through my appointment, my concerns were brought up but the responses I got were vague and didn't make sense and I wasn't confident that what I was being told was accurate. the instruction I received regarding my follow up was clear but when I received results from the the Dr.'s assistant they were not in full detail, didn't make any sense and I had to call back more than once and ask for an explanation regarding aspects of my results.
Dr Imig has consistently provided excellent care and has always taken the time to discuss whatever issues or questions I had. I always felt at ease with her and felt like I could talk to her like a friend. I am always referring friends to her.

My only negative I have is the amount of time I spent waiting. Maybe it would be better for both the doctor and patients if there was some unscheduled time built into her schedule so that she could absorb variations in her schedule. If not running behind, she could use the time to work on charts.

I was supposed to come back in for a 6 month appt. during the year, but was not called by the office as expected (at least, not that I recall). I forgot to follow-up as well, so I missed having a 6 month checkup. It would be nice/preferred for the office to call patients to make these non-annual appt.s to ensure patients receive the treatment/check-up needed to verify their condition hasn't worsened.
