Biography
Dr. Johnson is a general obstetrician and gynecologist. Her priority is to safely assist people with their sexual and reproductive health so they may fully achieve their self-determination.
She strives to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. Her special interests include prenatal care through postpartum, abortion access and contraception, cervical cancer prevention, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Johnson offers a complete range of services focused on preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions affecting sexual and reproductive health. She emphasizes evidence-based medicine and minimally invasive procedures. She has special training as a Da Vinci robotic surgeon.
Her experience includes serving as a senior international program coordinator for Operation Smile. She helped lead efforts to recruit and manage more than 800 medical volunteers worldwide serving more than 3,000 patients. She organized logistics for 1,500 cleft lip and palate procedures across 10 countries.
Dr. Johnson has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also contributed to the textbook Innovations in Plastic Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, American Medical Association, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
She enjoys surfing, skiing, and scuba diving in her free time.
Dr. Johnson speaks English and Spanish. She earned certification in Spanish medical interpreting from New York University. She worked as a medical interpreter in the Department of Ob/Gyn and Emergency Medicine at Jamaica Hospital in New York City before going to medical school.

I found Dr Johnson very kind and giving of her time to listen and answer questions. Hadn’t been to a gyn for a number of years and needed to get a mammo and she made me feel very comfortable about coming in and doing follow up.
