Dr Vagelos has been my Dr for around 30 years. He saved my life and he is always thorough. One of the few Dr's who sees me as a whole person and intgerates his care with other Dr's in my care team. He really stands out as a person who explains well, and tells me what is going on. I always leave his office with a sense of renewed direction and clarity on what I need to do to stay alive. I can't think of how many times he has caught something that needed checking that was outside his specialty. He sends notes to other Dr's and adjusts medications to accommodate other Dr's prescriptions and looks out for medication interractions. Nobody is like him in my experience. He is so smart about it. I never fall through the cracks. Joridy Lyons is also great. Thorough and thoughtful. they seem to benefit each other with their teamwork.
